Sheffield Real Estate has awarded to TAV Construction the contract to build its flagship project, Marina 101, in Dubai Marina.The project brings the World’s tallest hotel serviced apartment building to Dubai Marina’s stunning skyline. With its 101-floor reaching to 412 meters, the Marina-101 will have 324 hotel rooms up to 33rd floor and the remaining floors will accommodate 506 residential units. The project is designed by the National Engineering Bureau (NEB) who also acts as the Lead Consultant of the Project.
Scope of works include all building works including services, civil and architectural works excluding hotel ID package works for the construction of 156,000 m2 closed space (finishing and furnishing included), 6 basement floors, one ground floor and 100 storey mixed use building . Upon completion, the tower will be one of the tallest buildings in the GCC Region.
Due to the global financial downturn, the Project remained on hold between November 2010 and January 2012. With the resumption of the Works, the anticipated completion date is now October 2013.
