Designated by UNESCO as the cultural capital of the UAE and located strategically between the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman, Sharjah is experiencing explosive growth. In particular, the government is developing the Al Mamzar region for both tourism and luxurious living estates.
TAV Construction signed the contract with Khamas Group, a successful family-owned conglomerate operating in a wide variety of ventures in the UAE, in 2005 to build Majestic Tower in this developing lanscape. The engineer for the project is Consulting Architecture & Civil Engineering Bureau (CAB).
The contract type was lump-sum turnkey basis including construction of the 52-storey building including 43 floors for residential use, a floor for shopping center, a swimming pool/gymnasium complex and office space, and a six storey car park. Piling, shoring dewatering, structural and finishing works was also included in the project.
